Wheat Ridge, CO Meet the Artist Event
DEADLINE: 11/30/12

The Wheat Ridge Cultural Commission is seeking to contribute to the vitality of the Wheat Ridge Arts community by presenting our own local artists to the community. The Commission is sponsoring a series of "Meet The Artist" events which will take place at various businesses throughout Wheat Ridge on a monthly basis. Each artist selected will be featured at a designated business and will have the opportunity to display their artwork and make a presentation of their work to the public. ARTIST ELIGIBILITY: Open to artists whose primary residence or artist’s studio is in Wheat Ridge, Colorado.


Public Art Archive™
DEADLINE: 12/1/12

This is a call for the inclusion of public art collections in the Public Art Archive™, an online database of public art. To qualify, you must be a professional artist who has completed and installed public artwork, or an administrator of an established public art program in any of the 50 United States or Canada. There is no charge to submit entries to the Public Art Archive™. Public art is defined here as art that is situated in a location that is accessible or viewable by the general public and was, in most cases, commissioned by a public art entity, typically using percent-for-art or public funding. Works of art that were commissioned and/or gifted by corporations, museums, educational institutions, private parties, and other entities are also eligible. Permanently cited, temporary, new media, performative, rotating, and portable works are all eligible. Note: This is not a RFQ/RFP, roster, or commissioning project call. This call is for the inclusion of your project(s)! in a national database of public artworks.

2012 Punch Gallery Juried Exhibition - 
DEADLINE: 9/29/2012

Jury Fee: $15.00

PUNCH Gallery presents an international juried exhibition taking place November and December 2012. Located in the Pioneer Square area of downtown Seattle, PUNCH provides an excellent opportunity to gain exposure within the Northwest regional art scene.

Artists from any country may submit work in any medium. In addition to traditional media and crafts, artists are encouraged to submit work in experimental genres, video, sound, or installation.

Juried by Scott Lawrimore, Deputy Director, Collections and Exhibitions at the Frye Art Museum.

Cash awards will be presented.


Denali National Park and Preserve Artist-in-Residence 2013 -

The Denali Artist-in-Residence program is now accepting applications for residencies through the
summer of 2013. Details about the program history, answers to commonly asked questions, as well as

All submissions for the summer 2013 program must be completed no later than 10 p.m. AKST/ 12 a.m. MST on September 30, 2012. (Entry system servers are based in Colorado, USA.)


Gates of the Arctic National Park and Preserve 2013 Artist-in-Residence Program -

The Gates of the Arctic Artist-in-Residence program offers professional digital artists, writers, composers, musicians, two and three-dimensional visual artists, photographers, filmmakers, and artisans of all types the opportunity to pursue their art in a premier wilderness setting.

Art Jewelry Forum Emerging Artists Award 2012 -

The purpose of the Art Jewelry Forum's (AJF) Emerging Artist Award (EAA) is to acknowledge promise, innovation, and individuality in the work of emerging jewelry artists and to advance the career of a promising artist. The award consists of an unrestricted cash award of $7,500. The award presentation will be held in 2013 at SOFA (Sculptural Ojects and Functional Art) New York or Collect. John H. Boner Community Center: Legacy Project Recognition Artwork - 
DEADLINE: 9/30/2012

The John H. Boner Community Center (JHBCC) is requesting qualifications from artists to create a wall-hung artwork that visually represents the accomplishments, energy and excitement created by the “once in a lifetime” moment for our neighborhood and the catalyst of change created by the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl and Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee. 

The piece of art should capture the impact of the Indianapolis Super Bowl Legacy Project and also serve as recognition to the many donors who made the Legacy Projects come to be. 

In addition, some part of the creative process will engage neighborhood youth in creating this piece. The staff of the JHBCC and the Chase Near Eastside Legacy Center are available to assist with the coordination of the youth engagement component.

The piece will be permanently installed on the property of the John H. Boner Community Center in a highly visible 10’x10’ location above the main entrance on the second floor. 

Finally, the JHBCC is able to have this piece created because of the generous support of the Glick Fund and many other donors. These donors will need to be recognized within the piece itself or on a plaque alongside it. 


WAOW, Inc.: 2013 Application for membership in Women Artists of the West 
DEADLINE: 10/1/2012

Application for membership in Women Artists of the West (WAOW, Inc.), an organization of women artists with members across the United States and Canada. 
“Membership includes a page on WAOW’s web page with links to your private e-mail and web site. We have at least one National juried show per year for our members. We also have several online shows with different themes throughout the year. We have an extensive communications program for our members.” 


Univ of Hawaii - Hilo: 2012 Pacific States Biennial National Print Exhibition - 
DEADLINE: 10/1/2012

Jury Fee: $30.00

The 2012 Pacific States Biennial National juried print exhibition was established by the Art Department Print Studio at the University of Hawaii Hilo in 1982. The premier Hawaii biennial exhibition is hosted in conjunction with the Campus Center Gallery with support from the Student Activities Council and is open to all artists 18 years or older presently residing in the United States and its territories. Juror for the 2012 PSBN is Karen Kunc, Cather Professor of Art at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.


2012 Redmond Centennial Collection - VALA Eastside - 
DEADLINE: 10/1/2012

Jury Fee: $15.00

In honor of Redmond’s 100th Anniversary this year, we’re inviting artists to submit original artwork that commemorates Redmond’s Centennial and the artist’s connection to Redmond. 

The Centennial Collection will include works selected by a jury of local community members and arts professionals. Artwork will be installed at the VALA Gallery sponsored by Redmond Town Center. The installation is scheduled to open on December 1st to coincide with the Redmond Lights celebration. It will be up for approximately 2 months. The top three submissions (as selected by the Jury) will receive juror awards and be prominently displayed in the Gallery.


Prospectus #220 Spaceport America - 
DEADLINE: 10/4/2012

New Mexico Arts Art in Public Places program and the Local Selection Committee at New Mexico Spaceport Authority seek an experienced public artist to participate as part of the design team for the public art project at Spaceport America. In collaboration with the design team, the selected artist will create integrated artwork for the Spaceport America Visitor Center, known as Spaceport Central, and/or the surrounding landscape.

$200,000 is available for this project. This amount includes the selected artist’s participation on the design team as well as fabrication and installation of the artwork.


Artspace - Fine Contemporary Craft Exhibition - 
DEADLINE: 10/5/2012

Jury Fee: $25.00

Fine Contemporary Crafts is a national biennial juried exhibition. Craftspeople and artists working in a variety of media are encouraged to enter.

Artspace is a non-profit visual art center dedicated to presenting quality exhibitions and educational programs within an open-studio environment.
